The artistic and creatively designed “Cultuurmijl” (Culture Mile) connects Roombeek to the heart of the city. Enschede is a real music city: music plays a great role. The Nationaal Muziekkwartier is the music and theatre stage of Enschede. A bustling cultural place with a number of stages, halls and rehearsal rooms in which six professional musical institutions live together under one roof.


One of those partners is pop stage Metropool; pop, rock, metal, all genres get a chance here. In addition, Atak provides the stage for the annual closing party StuKaFest, the Studenten Kamer Festival (student room festival), for which student rooms are changed into mini theatres.
