The Batavierenrace is the biggest relay race in the world, in which students from all nationalities participate. The 45th edition runs from Nijmegen, through Germany and the Dutch Region ‘de Achtergoek’ to the Twente region and ends in Enschede at the University campus after crossing ‘de Oude Markt’ at the heart of the city of Enschede.

The total distance of the race is over 175 kilometres and is divided over 25 stages (16 mens- and 9- womens-stages. Every year, over 8.500 runners participate in this annual event with its unique character and charm.
